New Year, Temporal Landmarks, Integrity

Brownie Bites 12.30.24

Hello Reader, it's the end of the year, and the end of an era. This was an intense year for a lot of us, and now is the time to reflect. Temporal landmarks, like New Years, mark times in our lives when we aspire to change our lives. To do that, it helps to rewind the year in our minds--what was awesome? What was especially challenging?

What do we want to leave behind, and what do we wish to keep with us as we embark on 2025?

Setting, and Keeping, New Years Resolutions

I read a great article about New Year Resolutions, why they fail, and how to ensure they don’t.

Basically, most resolutions fail.

☂️ The “executive summary” of this article is that neither huge goals (which are so ambitious they are too overwhelming to achieve), nor small individual goals work.

The article states that “A more robust approach to goal setting involves establishing an entire goal network – a hierarchy of goals including superordinate, intermediate, and subordinate components.”

🌳 Look at the commonality with the most popular goals in the graph–most (and arguably, all) are related to health.

I believe your relationships, job, environment, mental health, finances are all related to health.

Then the top 3 are the obvious ones:
🧘‍♀️ Physical health
🏃‍♂️ Weight loss
🥑 Eating

What if we had as the top hierarchy resolution to “be a healthier version of yourself” and then everything ladders up to it?

Closing Doors to Open New Ones

I recently deleted quite a few people from my social media, because every time I saw their posts I got anxiety.

One person did things that put my consultancy and my startup at risk.

But here's the thing--I'm actually grateful this happened.

In life, there is the type of person who will use others to get ahead, and the type of person who creates their own destiny.

These kinds of events remind me how important it is to see the big picture, stay the course, and remember the 3 most important things in life;

🌞 Integrity

🌞 Honesty

🌞 Kindness

As we enter a new year, we can use the enthusiasm and motivation of temporal landmarks to cement our character.

Rêve Health News

I'd like to remind everyone that my startup did not exist 6 months ago.

There are so many people who SAY they want to do something...change their lives, change their jobs, change their living situations..and years go by without taking action.

In the past month alone, my startup:

🌻Launched Colorado, Texas, and California within 10 days of each other!

🌻Created the Prologue Protocol, which is an amazing way to kickstart your biomarker and proactive health journey.

🌻Completed our first member report reviews--it was intense and Maddy, Skylar and I worked so hard to get these 50+ page, 100+ biomarker reports completed, as well as the 90-minute calls. Nothing exists like our reports-we combine Traditional Chinese Medicine, life purpose, stress, relationships, lab results, functional medicine, and more to craft truly bespoke and actionable plans.

🌻Met with some major bigwigs in the hope of changing, literally changing, the way healthcare is done at a university level.

🌻We are also in the midst of creating a product line to help people feel and look their best naturally.

🌻And of course, we have our retreat at the exclusive Sterling Forest Lodge in May.

All this...in less than 6 months.

The key to building a startup, or any company, is having the right mindset.

YES having some money (or revenue or both) helps, and certainly having people who need and want your product is important.

But the most important things are your resiliency and ability to adapt. Optimism also helps. These traits make up the "founder mindset."

Founders go through so much that it's hard to explain--we have to simply believe, even when at times it's hard to see the light.

You can teach yourself the founder mindset and use it for anything that requires a great deal of effort in the face of resistance. This could apply to leaving a job, or a relationship. You can use this mindset to move.

Or you can use it to literally start a business and change your entire life.

Thank you for reading!

I'll see you again in a month--in the meantime, if you want more of me, find me on the company instagram @revehealthcollective (or become a member, and see me on our private community).
